How It Works

How Our Lead Hazard Mitigation Inspection Process Works

If there are no hazards, inspector takes dust samples, and with passing dust samples inspector issues a certificate of lead conformance

2 number icon

If there are violations, inspector comes back to verify if those lead hazards were mitigated and then takes dust samples after lead hazards mitigated. When results come back from the lab with passing dust samples inspector issues a certificate of lead conformance

The inspector issues a Certificate of Lead Conformance (CLC) if the property meets the requirements of the law

Letter of Full Deleading Compliance

When the dust samples pass inspection, we issue a Letter of Full Deleading Compliance, certifying that the property is now lead-safe and compliant with Rhode Island Lead Law.

Laboratory Analysis

The collected dust samples are sent to a certified laboratory for analysis to ensure there is no remaining lead contamination.

Reinspection and Dust Sampling

Once the deleading work is completed, we will conduct a visual reinspection and collect dust samples. The reinspection fees may vary depending on the number of rooms and lead floors that require testing.
